This week's challenge at
http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/ is to do a "monotangle" with only Mooka. I have had a love-hate relationship with Mooka. I usually love what everyone else does with it, and I generally hate what I do with this pattern. Even in this piece, most of my Mooka's seem jerky, like awkward geeks at the Zentangle party. But I will say that I came out of this challenge with a bit more confidence and actually came up with one variant I really like (the littler one toward the bottom).
For some reason this looks like a pregnant Mooka to me.

Interesting composition, dramatic, I like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing over mooka-geek! That's hilarious. Pregnant or not your Mooka is really nice, and great shading.
ReplyDeleteI like the scale beginning played with in size and shape. Great job!
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting drawing you made. When I opened your post the first thing I thought was : Hey this looks like a cross-section of an organism. It has a really biological feeling. Reminds me of my highschool time with one of my favorite lessons: Biology
ReplyDeleteWow, Didisch, I hadn't noticed, but you are right. Doubly interesting because I actually am a laboratorian by trade. Thanks all.
ReplyDeleteLove the variations, and the way you've put mooka's inside mooka's....
ReplyDeleteYour Mooka's are very original and interesting.
ReplyDeleteWohow.... this is very spectacular, so much to see!! Great, I LOVE it!
