I also managed to double this one up as one of my Grateful Zed tangles...because I do love Openness. Open space in my house, open minds, open doors--all of these appeal to me.
Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied
with the life you're living?
Bob Marley
I used four tangles in this one, with the first letters of the names spelling "OPEN"--lol. And I wanted to choose patterns that were a little spacey...and try to keep them open and simple, so I went with Oke, Pokeroot, Efilys, and 'NZeppel. And the string? Laura's photo of all her boys playing Sorry was my inspiration for the string's shape.
I hope you all have stayed warm this week. I'm going to go plop on the couch after 2 hours shoveling snow today. Happy tangling!
This week's diva challenge can be found here.
Very nice. I love your choices.
ReplyDeleteI loved your thoughts on this. Your tile is very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteVery nice tile!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tile and beautiful words!
ReplyDeleteGreat tangles + great string choice = great tile! Axxx
ReplyDeleteYour finished piece is very well done and I like that you chose tangles that had space as well. I think many of us feel the need to cram way too much into our work. It was nice to be "forced" into this :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, "airy" tile! Very refreshing.
ReplyDeleteHow creative to put a blank tile between your spaces. Great shading.
ReplyDeleteI love where you got the idea for your string. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteYour shading sets everything off very well.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like the story behind your piece, too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile! Very creative composition! Lovely post, too!
